What was promised, and what was delivered
The proposal laid out three phases. The first two are complete and live. The third begins now.
- ✓
Phase 0: FoundationsDomain registered, hosting on Cloudflare, analytics installed, property email at hola@casafrondosa.com receiving mail, WhatsApp click-to-chat wired on every page, and the full photo library handed over and optimized.
- ✓
Phase 1: The site, English and SpanishHome, the house, gallery, the area, concierge, questions, rates and contact, plus the legal pages, all in both languages at properly translated addresses. Eight guide articles, three of them also in Spanish. Every fact about the house comes from one source, so the two languages cannot drift apart.
- →
Phase 2: Ongoing content and FrenchStarts now under the monthly plan: one new article a month, search rankings watched, and this note each month. French waits for a named reviewer, as agreed.
The foundation, checked
These are the things a guest never sees but that decide whether the site can be found. I checked each one on 16 September.
- ✓
Google has the siteSearch Console is connected and verified. Google read the sitemap on 31 August and found all 34 pages, and a search for the site's own address already returns pages in both languages and the blog.
- ✓
Every page is open to search enginesAll 34 pages return correctly, none are accidentally hidden, and each one tells Google the right address for itself.
- ✓
Analytics is measuringVisits are recorded, and so are the actions that matter: WhatsApp taps, email clicks, map opens and inquiry button presses. When guests arrive, you will know which button they used.
- ✓
Fast, with email authentication in placeThe server answers in about a tenth of a second, before images. The site runs on HTTPS, and the domain now publishes the records that let mail providers verify a message really came from casafrondosa.com, which is the groundwork for blocking fakes.
- ✓
Share previews are set upEvery page carries a photo, title and description for messaging apps, so a pasted link shows the house rather than a blank box.
Google has found it
The build is finished. The next thing that has to happen is for Google to discover the site, and that has started.
- ✓
Indexed, in both languagesGoogle read the sitemap on 31 August and picked up all 34 pages. A search for the site's own address already returns the house pages, the Spanish pages and the blog.
- ✓
The first visitor from a Google search has arrivedAbout three weeks after launch, someone searched, saw Casa Frondosa, and clicked. One visit is not traffic, but it proves the site is being shown.
- ✓
Already ranking for a real searchThe article comparing Manuel Antonio, Dominical and Uvita sits at position 36 for "uvita vs manuel antonio". A month-old site with no outside links showing up at all for a query people actually type is the pattern we want.
For the record, since launch the site has had seven visits from four people, six of them the team reviewing it. That is the correct number for a site this age. The proposal put it in writing: search traffic compounds over six to twelve months and is judged on the year, not the month.
Why a new site starts slow. Google ranks by trust, and trust comes from other websites linking to yours. Casa Frondosa has none yet, so Google visits about once every two weeks and ranks it carefully. Everything below is about earning those links, and none of it needs the site to change.
Now it gets shared
With the site done, the work turns outward. This is the part where the whole team can help, and where a share from the right person is worth more than anything done on the page.
- ✓
Listed on our own two sitesThe house now has its own page on The Costa Rica Directory, in English and Spanish, linking back to casafrondosa.com. It is also on Costa Rica Travel Consultants, where every villa is listed by code rather than by name, with the full photo set and the same facts as the site.
- →
Directories and the local networkA mention from the Portasol community site, and links back from Eddie's Eklectic Kitchen and the wellness provider the site already sends guests to. Three or four of these is what moves the comparison article from page four toward page one.
- →
Google Business ProfileFree, not yet set up, and the single biggest lever for a property competing on "where to stay near Manuel Antonio". It puts the house on the map and gives it a place to collect reviews. It needs the owners to verify by postcard.
- →
Social, Reddit and the travel forumsCosta Rica travel groups on Facebook and Reddit are exactly where people ask "Manuel Antonio or Dominical?" every week. As the guide articles go up, they are the honest answer to link in reply. Not the house page, the article. Share the house on your own feeds; share the guides where people are asking.
- →
More of what is already workingThe comparison article is the site's strongest performer. Searches like "tamarindo vs manuel antonio" get about 140 a month with almost no good answers. One article per comparison, each ending with the honest case for staying between them, is the next month's writing.
What we still need from you
Each of these switches something on. Nothing here is urgent, but nothing appears on the site until it is answered.
- →
The cleaning fee amountThe rates page shows starting prices by season and the deposit and cancellation terms. The cleaning fee has a place waiting and shows nothing until we have the figure.
- →
Peak season datesThe site says Christmas, New Year and Holy Week are quoted separately and carry a five-night minimum. The exact dates would let it say so precisely.
- →
Guest reviewsReal ones only. Send what friends and family have written and they go on the key pages. Until then the space stays empty rather than filled with anything invented.
This is the first of the monthly notes included in the ongoing plan. The next one will cover the first outside links and whatever Google does with them. Questions, corrections, or anything on the site that reads wrong: message Michael directly.
